Abstract

CODICE-Derecho test is an assessment tool designed jointly by the DEMRE and the Faculty of Law -both are departments of Universidad de Chile- in order to clarify the reading and writing skills of their students. The paper provides a comparative analysis of the results obtained from tests conducted in 2009 and 2011, which considers the reliability of the instrument and two psychometric indicators (difficulty and discrimination index). Finally, it highlights the pilot character of the instrument and suggest some future statistical analysis based on results described.
