Abstract

On August 14, 1811, the Regulation for the Arrangement of the Provisional Executive Authority of Chile was sanctioned, which can be considered as the first "draft" of the Constitution and in which it is established for the first time that the Executive Power will reside in a collegiate authority. . In said text, the National Congress indicated its intimate conviction of "the need to divide powers" and, therefore, of the importance of "setting the limits of each one without confusing or compromising their objectives."
