Abstract

This work analyses the importance of the principie of equality and its close relations-hip with the broader concept of justice, which can be studied from different levels of analysis. Without ignoring the important differences between the two principies, which justifies a different legal treatment, this paper contributes in explaining the principie of equality in implementation of the law and the principle of equality before the law. It explains the relevance of progressing towards real or substantial equality schemes through legal regulation.
