This study aims to explain some ideas in relation to the constitutionally recognized legal principle of human dignity, but referred to a specific area, which is that of persons deprived of liberty and their families. Dignity deserves special attention on the part of the Constituent Assembly, since the configuration of suitable mechanisms to safeguard said principle constitute objective diagnostic instruments of true respect and recognition of fundamental rights in a country.
