Abstract

The author addresses the constitutionality control regime in Italy, which is one of the oldest and most active in the entire European continent. Along with the system enshrined in the German Constitution of 1949, they are the clearest example of the urgent need in which the post-war constituent found himself to seek real and concrete respect for constitutional guarantees, both by the rulers and by the ruled.
