This article makes a tour of the main liberal and sociological currents that serve as theoretical support for the analysis of health and equality in the Law, in order to demonstrate the interrelation between the sociological conception of the right to health and structural perspective of the right to equality; using for this, the contributions of John Rawls on justice. Based on this, some of the legislative and executive measures adopted by the Ecuadorian State in labor matters will be evaluated during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 and its effects on the population's ability to pay for health services.
